Transitioning from high school to college or vocational training programs can be scary and overwhelming. Navigating routines, with the possibility of moving away from home, and establishing new patterns and social dynamics can be challenging. Students may also experience anxiety, depression, or increased stress during this transition due to uncertainties, expectations, or finances.
We are here to support your student through this transition in their life. We know that it may feel stressful and overwhelming when trying to decide their future goals and which path to take, however, with support and preparation, their goals can be achieved. Our transition and professional development support group is led by a licensed therapist. Our focus is on setting realistic expectations, preparation through resume building, establishing professionalism, and developing healthy coping skills to ease the stress of these transitions. By joining our transition and professional development support group, your student will be embarking on the first step of preparation for their bright future.
Currently, this support group is coed. If you wish to join, please email Brittany, the group leader, at [email protected]. Brittany has been supporting and helping prepare students for their futures for the past four years through discovering interests, resume building, professional development, establishing routine, and encouraging good self-care habits. She brings experience, knowledge, and understanding of the challenges that teens face as they embark on their journey into adulthood.
